Installation Procedures
The "A" Clamp
Sewer Line Vent Clamp Assembly
1. Check pipe for proper size 4" PVC-SDR-35.
2. Clean inside hub gasket and pipe thoroughly.
3. Measure hub (where pipe is seated) and mark end of pipe for proper seal.
4. Use solid piece of pipe to avoid any joints in frost area.
5. Use proper lubricant for installation.
6. Once vent pipe is sealed to seal, clamp assembly may be installed.
7. Lower assembly is a smooth walled strap, which locks under trap flange. This assembly will be installed with 2" by 3/8" bolts. Tighten until movement is detected (this is tight enough).
8. Leave a one inch gap between upper assembly and top of trap flange, this will allow for the hold down bolts to be installed.
Note: Install top assembly loosely until proper fit is determined.
9. Top assembly is double ribbed on inside walls. This unit will be installed on the vent pipe using 2" by 3/8" bolts - tighten at 15-17 ft. lb. (unit will draw tight)
10. J-bolts may now be installed. J-bolts open away from pipe. (Tighten accordingly)
11. Stone properly and back fill.
Thank you for installing the "A" Clamp!
